Are you just dying to order some Paper & Cake printable partyware but feeling just a little nervous about your crafting abilities? Well, here is a step by step tutorial for our Snack box (also doubles as a hamburger sleeve).

For this tutorial, we are using the Back to School printable pdf themed collection.

1. Using your home color printer and card stock, print out the snack box page, and print double-sided with the full patterned sheet

2. Using scissors or an xacto knife, cut out along outer edges of design.

3. Score along dotted lines (you can do this with a ball-point pen with the ink removed, a fork, or a bone folder). Scoring makes the folding infinitely easier and the end product look clean and professional.

4. Fold along scored lines.

5. Overlap folded tabs and affix, using adhesive (tape or double-sided tape).

6. Fill with good stuff.

And yes, it is just that easy. For a full party for 12 guests, it takes around 45 minutes to assemble a complete party (everything from the celebration banner to the cupcake wrappers, the favor boxes to food labels).

P&C Real Life Parties ~ Under the Sea Baby Shower

My super talented cousin Krista (of Krista Lucas Photography), recently hosted a baby shower with an Under the Sea theme. Our downloadable tablescape was just perfect for the occasion! Here is what she had to say...

Abby over at Paper&Cake is amazing...I love all their parties! I threw Alex a baby shower using their "Under the Sea" collection and got so many compliments!

I kept it pretty simple since the shower was going to be fairly small. Food: pasta salad, hummus & pita bread, veggies and dip, and cupcakes. I filled the favor baskets with peppermint patties, lip balm, and tealight candles.

We played one game - I put about 15 assorted baby related items on a tray, let the ladies examine it for about a minute, then they had to write down all the items they remembered after I took the tray away. We also talked the afternoon away, as a group of women who have known each other for years and years are able to do!

Paper & Cake's downloadable halloween party is a treat

One of my kids thinks that Mickey Mouse is a horror figure, so I've learned to keep our Halloween "unscawy." Instead of settling for whatever I can find in the big box stores, I get to look so put together by downloading CMP fave Paper&Cake's downloadable Trick or Treat Halloween Party decor which gives my gathering a pulled-together look without costing more than my Halloween candy budget.

Abigail and Kira have a knack for creating party decor that really pops, and I'm particularly fond of their Halloween palette which combines shades of green, purple and even hot pink for a modern twist. And, if you have older kids, or if you're lucky enough to be able to throw a grown-up bash, check out their Gothic Halloween Party decor decor which is anything but "cute".

I used to be afraid that downloading and printing party decor would be a huge hassle, but after purchasing their downlodable pirate birthday party decor set last month, I can say with confidence that anyone who is old enough to use scissors well could handle this. It all fits on standard-size 8 1/2x11" paper (use card stock for best results); all you need is some scissors, double-sided tape and about an hour of time. You'll have everything from the clever little favor bags, friendly finger puppets and the cutest mini candy bar wrappers, as well as stuff to decorate your table and snacks.

All for less than $10. Why, I don't think that's scary at all. -Christina
