What is Printable Partyware? Party decorations that are downloaded as a PDF and printed out, at home!
Each printable partyware collection is a uniquely designed themed party, which includes 10-15 items, such as; invitation, pennant banner, favor box, party food labels and cupcake toppers.
Upon downloading a party collection PDF from the website, customers can easily personalize text on many of the party items - no specialty software required.
Specifically designed to be quick and easy to put together, every item is formatted to print on 8 1/2 x 11” paper, and can be assembled using nothing more than scissors and tape.
All that is needed is to print, cut and party. The cake part is up to you.
Have questions?
Q: How do I customize my party?
A: All you will need is Adobe Acrobat Reader - you will be able to type in your own text and information. Be sure to open the party PDF with Acrobat – not “Preview”.Q: What is a PDF file??
A: PDF or "Portable Document Format" it is a type of file created by Adobe Systems that any computer (mac or pc) can open and print. If you don't already have Adobe Reader, (the software that opens PDF files), you can download the current version here for free. Q: Will you be shipping anything to me?
A: Your Printable Party order will download straight to your computer's desktop. Read through the first 2 pages of your PDF, there are detailed instructions and recommendations on how to get your party started.Q: Do you take custom orders?
A: Unfortunately, we are no longer able to create custom orders.Q: Do I need an expensive printer for these parties?
A: Absolutely not. We’ve used an inexpensive HP inkjet for several of our photo shoots – and a color laser jet for others. Can you spot the difference?Q: What kind of paper do I need to purchase to print on?
A: We recommend card stock (any weight will do), but you can also use satin-finish photo paper for a slightly glossy finish. Cardstock is available at most office supply stores, we’ve even found it at Target.Q: Do you use white paper and/or white card stock when printing out the various paper goods? I'm worried about how much ink it will take for just one page.
A: All of our designs are formatted to print on 8.5x11” sheets of plain white paper. We try our best to use color in a way that uses less ink than one might think.Q: Can I change the colors of the PDF?
A: Unfortunately, Adobe Acrobat does not allow for color changes.Q: Can I print on colored paper?
A: You can print on colored paper, just make sure it is light enough as to not interfere with the legibility of the design.Q: It looks like some of the cuts are pretty intricate. How do you make them look so professional?
A: Our parties are specifically designed to be easy to put together. Most of the items can be done with just a pair of scissors and scotch tape. The circles look best using a punch (we mostly use 2" rounds). Also, we strongly recommend pre-scoring those items with a fold (ie: pressing along fold-lines before actually folding with either the back of a table knife, an emptied ball-point pen or a scrapbookers scoring tool-just use a ruler or hardback book as a guide).Q: When I print out my party collection, the colors aren't exactly like the colors shown on the website?
A: All computer screens and printers are calibrated differently - so colors you see on the screen may not exactly match what you print out. In addition, what you see on your own monitor may differ slightly from what you printer prints out. We do our best to photograph the collections to accurately portray colors, but please be aware that there may be some variation.Q: I've received my PDF file, and can open it, but when I type in my own text, its not in the correct spot?
A: You have most likely opened your PDF file in "Preview", a software program that can be set as the default reader on some computers. To correct his problem, just right-click the link to your Printable Party PDF file and select "Open With" then click on "Adobe Reader". If this does not correct your problem, please contact info@paperancake.com for further instructions.
